Hung out to dry, Sounds bad, right? Fear not, all is not lost. Stay with me and I’ll explain. This morning I tried to keep to my promise to not get up until the sun was up. Problem was the sun was not to be found due to the rain and clouds. I would have been waiting a really long time, like till about 2pm in the afternoon if I wanted to get up with the sun. Not a problem really except for one thing, I have how shall we put it a weak bladder! So in the dark I rose and grabbed that all important first cup of coffee. Ah, now fortified, I was able to get myself in gear and face another new day.
We had a few things in mind for today. Barbara wanted to go to the flea market at Webster for some fresh vegetables and to see if she could find some new books. Success on both counts. This was stop one.

Stop two was a very familiar place for us, it was Dade Battlefield. We both decided to submit applications for work camper positions next winter. Time will tell if we are accepted. Now we just sit back and wait to hear from the ranger who runs the park.

Stop three was at Evans Hardware in downtown Bushnell. I needed to pick up a few bits and pieces for a project that Barbara wanted me to accomplish. Take a look below and see if you can figure out from what’s on the table what it is going to be. I’ll give you a clue, it has to do with being hung out to dry. From this assortment of PVC pipe and fittings

come this, a dryer rack that hangs off the back ladder of Graybeard. When finished it looks like this, minus the clothesline since we were not able to get it this trip. Then when

we are ready to travel, you fold it up against the one ladder, hang the step ladder against it and you are ready to go! Pretty neat, right?
Back home the afternoon was spent making the above dryer rack, doing research, and updating records. Barb cleaned all of the salad, cut-up radishes and cucmbers, that she bought, made Bill Strawberry Cheesecake muffins and a sausage meatloaf. It kept her busy most of the afternoon with the cooking and cleaning.
We now have the majority of our campgrounds for the summer booked and the routes semi planned. It’s time, oh yea it’s time to head out and we can’t wait. Some last-minute doctor appointments to make and keep, a few odds and ends that still need to be done and then away we go.
So now we come to the evening hours. This being Monday, it’s movie night. We usually go to the hall and watch a movie with everybody, this week it was “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” but Barb didn’t have supper ready until 6:30 and the movie started at 7PM, so we decided to stay home (of course, it is very windy and cold outside, so it is cozier to stay home) and watch one of our favorites Star Trek.

That was our day, start to finish and it was another great day spent doing things together. We were able to get out and about. We were able to enjoy the day despite the early morning rain and overcast skies. Now, we are bracing for tomorrow mornings temperatures, rumored to be in the 30’s. Hey, I thought this was Florida? Already the temperature is going down quicker than the water cascading down a waterfall. Oh well. We hope that you enjoyed your day, that it was a pleasurable one, an enjoyable one. Here’s a thought for all of us this evening

As always, if you are coming to the end of your day with concerns and worries let me suggest that you turn them over to God. After all, He is going to be up all night so why not let him handle them for you.
Time now for our evening prayers and some shut-eye. Till tomorrow. Thanks again for sharing our day with us.
These are the voyages of Graybeard and it’s occupants, four paws and two humans. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have not been before.
Good job on your drying rack. I love hanging clothes outside. We missed Webster’s today. Probably next week.
