Visit With Family
And the rains came down and the floods went up. . . The part about the rains is right but thankfully we didn’t have floods. Just sheets of water running over and off the patio outside our front door. The good thing is it waited until tonight to start. Which left us with another absolutely beautiful day for visiting.
Ms Barbara arranged a visit with her brother today. This is where they are staying while he is undergoing cancer treatment at Moffit Cancer Center.
The driveway in. The complex is huge and it is absolutely picture perfect.
Ms Barbara on her way in with lunch in hand. The consensusof the group was that lunch today would be from Chick-fil-A.
Our poolside retreat site looking in from the entrance gate. This is our go-to-place whenever the four of us get together.
Lookiing at the pool from our table.
Harry and his wife, Janet. Harry started on a new and more aggressive round of chemo and it has really knocked him for a loop. He was really looking tired and fatigued. Our prayers continue to be with both of them. This is an extremlly difficult time in their lives.
That was our day on The Road of Retirement. We had a wonderful time visiting today with Haryy and Janet, and are looking forward to when we can spend more time with them in the future. As of now we’re just sitting back and enjoying the evening together. In fact, I believe I’ll go make a bag of popcorn and just put my feet up. Enjoy your evening.
Thanks for taking the time to read our blog. We always appreciate your company, your comments, and your suggestions. Keep safe, keep healthy, live to the fullest the days that God gives you.
These are the voyages of Elvira and her two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.
See you on down the road!
Prayers for Harry. The treatments sometimes are difficult. I’m sure visits are important to both Harry and Janet.
