March 20th, Tuesday – Short and Sweet

Short and sweet, yes, this will probably be the shortest post I have ever made to date.  But really, there is not a lot to tell about today.  The morning started off with rain but it was  nice and warm.  As for tomorrow, the forecast is for another cold front coming through with temperatures about 10 degrees below average for this time of year.  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

Today we had only one appointment and that was at the VA Hospital in Tampa.  I will say getting to this Hospital is by far so much easier than getting to the VA Hospital in East Orange in NJ.  It is a straight run down 75 to exit 270 and then 4 miles and you are there.  In addition, there has always been a parking spot for us whenever we’ve gone.  Sweet.

Today, they inspected my BPAP machine, reviewed the data from the SIM card and

determined all was well.  In addition, they gave me all new supplies and provided me with a phone number to call when I need additional supplies.  I have to add, this was all totally unexpected but just another case of my primary care doctor here in Florida doing his thing, and doing what he believes is best for my health.  What can I say but  thanks doc for caring so much.

After my appointment, it was a race for home before the heavens opened up and the rains came down.  It appeared we weren’t going to make it because once on 75 it began to pour but it stopped the further north we went.  So it appeared we would be good.  That we were, at least until we got home.  Once inside, lunch on the table, you guessed it

rain

the heavens opened up and it poured for a good hour and a half.  Of course, the thunder boomed and the lightning lit up the sky as well.  Marti wanted nothing of it and tried his best to get under our skin and hide!

So what do to on a rainy day?  No, not that!  At our age dominoes is the name of the game,

So that is how we occupied our afternoon.  Barbara got the best of me this time.  Every once and awhile I have to let her win, but don’t tell her I told you.

Barbara then made a supper to end all suppers.  We had grilled pork chops, fresh Brussels sprouts, and rice and spicy tomatoes.   I ate and enjoyed every last bite.  Yes, it was that good.

So now the daylight is gone and night has come upon us again.  Yes, it was another great day because we were together.  Maybe it wasn’t a day of discovery but it was a day that was full and meaningful in many other ways.  As we leave you this evening think on this

As always,  if you are coming to the end of your day with concerns and worries let me suggest that you turn them over to God.  After all, He is going to be up all night so why not let him handle them for you.

Time now for our evening prayers and some shut-eye.  Till tomorrow.  Thanks again for sharing our day with us.
