The Good, the Bad, the Ugly. Let me explain in a minute, but first our morning. It was raining, really, really raining this morning and we really, really, really didn’t want to get out of bed. However, it was moving day, and rain or no rain, we needed to get ready and get on the road. So we gave ourselves a few extra minutes and then made our way to the kitchen for breakfast. Cereal, juice and coffee for both of us and then it was time to get to work.
Since there were no tanks to dump inasmuch as COE parks don’t have sewers and our black tank was not even close to being full that was one less task for me to accomplish. All the better given the fact that the rain refused to let up. I got the slides in, the jacks up, the leveling blocks packed, and the water and electric disconnected. Meanwhile Barbara packed up the inside and made sure nothing would shift or fall as we made our way down the road. We then went over our check list for departure and agreed we were ready to go.

Only one thing left to do and that was hook little Graybeard up to Graybeard. 1-2-3 Done.

The trip was a quick and an easy one. We had rain the whole way but thankfully no wind so it was one-handed driving almost all of the way. My kind of trip.
So still believing that Home is Where we Park It this is going to be our home for 2 days.

Now as for The Good, The Bad, the Ugly. Over the last several months, we’ve had some really good sites, some rather bad sites, and today we found the first of the really ugly sites. The owners of the campground said that this is one of the most coveted sites in the whole campground. Are you kidding me? To begin with it is a mud pit. The utilities are located at the front bumper. As for level, forget it! Looking around at other sites I can’t find one in the immediate vicinity that is anywhere near level. Yes, I finally got it level enough to run the fridge, though it took a bit of ingenuity to do.
Thankfully we’re only here for two nights, and the price was deeply discounted so that makes the whole situation tolerable. Ah yes as I said just a day or two ago you have to learn to roll with the punches, you have to be willing to take what comes your way and make the best of it. Time to practice what I preach!
Well, day is done, Supper is over. We’re watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and just kicking back and relaxing. It’s been a good day, a day spent together, traveling down the road side by side, singing our song. Why look at that, the rain has finally stopped. Yippee! We hope you had a great day as well. If not, there is tomorrow and here is a thought for all of us:

As always, if you are coming to the end of your day with concerns and worries let me suggest that you turn them over to God. After all, He is going to be up all night so why not let him handle them for you.
Time now for our evening prayers and some shut-eye. Till tomorrow. Thanks again for sharing our day with us.
These are the voyages of Graybeard and it’s occupants, four paws and two humans. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have not been before
Love the “Good bye tension, Hello pension”. Hopefully you’ll have a few nice dry days so you two can get out and see what the area has to offer. Glad you had a good trip, no white knuckle driving. God bless you both.
