April 30th, Monday – The Real April 30th

Yes, contrary to yesterdays blog today is the real April 30th.  I guess I’m getting all excited about moving again at the end of the week and trying to push the day up.  So be it, I believe I have my days sorted out now.

Not much to tell today.  Another slow morning, another great day.  Today we got to apply rule 101 for full timers.  And what is that you ask?  Be flexible.  Travel plans and reservations had been set through September.  Oh well, part of the whole plan just went out the window today.  No matter, I’ll just remap, cancel some, and make other reservations.

We hung around Graybeard today.  Revamping the itinerary.  Mopping floors.  Vacuuming rugs.  Oh yes, we did get out for a bit when we joined our son Adam and his wife Alison for lunch.  Nothing spectacular just Chick-Fil-A.  But it was time with family and that is why we planned on stopping here in the first place.

Today being Monday it was also, wait for it, here it comes, drum roll please it was

wishy washy day!  Really nice laundromat here at the park.  First one we ever saw that took either quarters or a credit card.  One, two, three and our clothes were clean again.

Later in the day, Amanda took us out for supper.  She is taking Marti home with her and watching him tomorrow since we will be gone all day.  Which reminds me no blog tomorrow night inasmuch as we will be getting home way, way late in the evening.

So that was our really ordinary, nothing spectacular, wonderful, in every way day.  We spent it together, hand in hand, singing our song and enjoying time with our son and daughter.  I’ll take a hundred days like this anytime, anywhere.  We hope you enjoyed your day as well.  We hope you had a chance to do something special maybe for yourself, maybe for someone else.  In closing, here is a thought for each of us to ponder:

As always,  if you are coming to the end of your day with concerns and worries let me suggest that you turn them over to God.  After all, He is going to be up all night so why not let him handle them for you.

Time now for our evening prayers and some shut-eye.  Till tomorrow.  Thanks again for sharing our day with us.

These are the voyages of  Graybeard and it’s occupants, four paws and two humans.  Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have not been before
