Rain, Rain Go Away, Come Again Another – Month! OK, everything up here is as dry as a bone and rain is sorely needed. But does it have to come all at once? Rain last night, rain

off and on all day long. It got heavy at times, other times just a steady drizzle. It was mid afternoon that I went out and I looked under Graybeard and wondered Am I going to need to put it up on a pontoon boat? Thankfully, the soil is porous and dry so the ground soaked it all up in record time. Just in time for more rain!
Hey, we’ve got TV! I took a walk today and looked at the other rigs in the park that had their TV antenna’s up. I then looked carefully at the direction they were all pointing. Ah, now I have an idea where the tower is. Back home I turned our antenna in the same

direction, re-scanned for channels and bingo! We now have the important channels. Can you guess which ones? Yup, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. We also found a bonus channel later in the evening which was American Ninja Warriors. By the way, I also found a program called antenna point that I installed on both my computer and phone. You put in a zip code and it tells you where the TV towers are so that you know where to point your TV antenna. Life is good.
Then I got a bit silly. Since it was calling for rain for the rest of the week I wanted to get the patio awning out. It allows us to leave the entrance door open so we can get some air through the screen door. It also makes it easier to walk Marti – open the door, let him out under the awning and that’s that.
Ah, but it was raining, not hard just a steady drizzle. Of course, the ground was also soaking wet. Why do I mention this? Because to stake down the patio awning you first need to get the jacks down on Graybeard so it is stable. Which means you need to get the jack pads under the jacks. Which means getting down and dirty on the ground. OK, didn’t mind that a bit. But then came the fun.
Once that was all done, now it was time to roll out the patio awning. Time after time in
the past it came out with no problem. Guess what jammed this time? You got to love it and just learn to laugh. So in the rain, out came the step ladder, up the ladder, rap the bar in just the right place – of course I know where that it is from past issues – and one, two, three it rolled right out. It is what it is.
While I was messing with all of this Barbara was inside taking care of my dietary needs. From breakfast to supper I was well fed with one delicious meal after another. She is the best. Barbara also got all our financial records up to date and reconciled. As of now we are in good shape financially and good to go for the rest of the year and on into next year. It’s a good feeling to say the least.
That was our day. Glad to share it with you. Would also be very happy to give you some of the rain that we are getting. Thankfully, Graybeard has been keeping us dry as could be. We have a great rig, built at a time when they still took pride in the work they did. We hope you had a great day as well. We cannot control the circumstances of each day, but we can control how we approach and deal with what comes our way. So make the most of whatever is thrown at you. Finally, in closing a thought for each of:

As always, if you are coming to the end of your day with concerns and worries, let me suggest that you turn them over to God. After all, He is going to be up all night so why not let him handle them for you.
Time now for our evening prayers and eventually some shut-eye. Till tomorrow.
These are the voyages of Graybeard and it’s occupants, four paws and two humans. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have not been before
Rap, one, two, three. If it works, why not. We’re having a lot of rain, flooding and road closures. A lot of people have water in basements, but our sump pump is keeping us dry. Enjoy your day.
