December 30th, Sunday -We’re Both Under the Weather

Not much new happening in these parts.  Since coming back from our Christmas visit both of us have been under the weather.  Barbara has it the worse with no relief in sight.

I’m so-so, mornings and evenings are bad but during the day I can manage to muddle along.  Ah well into every life a little rain must fall.

Still in all I’ve managed to finish some regular monthly maintenance projects.  Others are still on the back burner.  The list of things put off is getting longer and longer.  Going to have to get back on my horse right soon or things might start falling apart.  Come the New Year I’ve promised myself I will be all better and fit as a fiddle.  Yup, I’m trying the power of positive thinking.  Let’s see how that works out!

Did we make church today?  Sadly we did not.  We both we’re up, showered and ready to go but just could not bring ourselves to go.  Between sneezing and coughing and shivering it was obvious that we were not really up for it.  Besides which, neither of us thought it would be fair to unleash whatever we have on everyone else.  Hopefully, next week.

OK, enough for now.  It’s only 8 pm but for some reason I can’t seem to keep my eyes open any longer.  Therefore, I will bid all a good night and says thanks for checking in on us again.  Now, before I go as always a thought for each of us to think up:

As always,  if you are coming to the end of your day with concerns and worries, let me suggest that you turn them over to God.  After all, He is going to be up all night so why not let him handle them for you.

Time now for our evening prayers and eventually some shut-eye.  Till tomorrow.
