WORK CAMPING 2019

Home Is Where We Park It:  Dade Battlefield Historical State Park

Date:  March 26, 2019

Margaritaville
One more day to just lay around.  Once again we were not on the work schedule.  That ends tomorrow when we’ll be back to work straight through and including Saturday.  What’s that saying All Good Things Must Come To An End.
The first rig belonging to Ron and Jody rolled out early this morning.  They’ll be making their way to Maine where they will be work camping at a private RV park.   Next to go will be Terry and Trudy this Thursday morning.  They are going home to Kansas.  Following them will be Dave and Sandy on Saturday.  They’ll be making their way to New Hampshire where Dave will be work camping at a state park.  We’re next on the hit parade leaving on Monday morning for Tour America 2019.  The last to leave will be Steve and Patti who will be returning home to Wisconsin.  Everyone but the two of us will be back at the park the end of 2019.
Not much happening today.  Barbara went and got a haircut.  I went back and forth to the Wishy Washy and got all our laundry done.  I also worked on the computer for several hours refining our route, adding and deleting stops along the way.  Rather than staying at campgrounds when we only need an overnight stop we are going to rely heavily on Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcome for these stops.  After lunch we went grocery shopping and stocked up on the basics.  Who knows when we’ll be this close again to a major grocery store.
This afternoon come 4 pm it was time for Margaritaville.  The 8 of us remaining gathered for Margarita’s and munchies.  This is probably the last time we’ll all be together.  We’re already missing Ron and Jody.  We spent a delightful afternoon sharing war stories, plans for the future, places we hope to visit and all other kinds of odds and ends.  It was a great time all the way around.  It’s times like this that make this RV lifestyle so wonderful and so well worth it.  It’s times like this that also sustains us when those times come that everything seems to go south.
Now no day would be complete without the 4 basics before calling it a night:  Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, NCIS, and FBI.  We enjoyed each of them as always.  It’s so nice having the satellite system up and working.  Going to be interesting to see what happens as we travel around.
That was our day on The Road of Retirement.  An easy enjoyable day all the way around.  Thanks for coming along with us we enjoyed your company.  Till tomorrow, have a good night.

These are the voyages of  Graybeard and it’s occupants, four paws and two humans.  Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have not been before

See you on down the road
