OK, I know we are not there yet but we are oh so close. I’m more than ready to say goodbye to 2020 and begin a new chapter.
I can’t say that 2020 has been an easy year. Our lives were upended in oh so many ways. We started out the year with both of us down with the flu. And it didn’t want to go away. It lingered for oh too long. Our plans were changed any number of times. We went through a lock down in Arizona. All year we were faced with the uncertainty of would be find a place to stay.
Then again I can’t say it has been all bad either. We’ve enjoyed many beautiful sunsets and the stark beauty of the southwest. We’ve been blessed with many good neighbors and lots of good food. We’ve discovered so many unexpected wonderful places – Cave Without A Name – being one that comes readly to mind. We had a wonderful time exploring Route 66 and the towns preserved along its route. We purchased a new rig and began the process of making it our own. Moreover, we haven’t suffered physically or financially in any big way. Plus we’re healthy and in a safe place. Bottom line, we are two of the most forunate and blessed people on the face of the earth.
Whatever 2020 has done to us, personally and as a nation, hopefully we can put it behind us now and look forward to a brand-new year. Think of tomorrow as opening a brand-new diary with 365 pages to fill. What will you put on those pages in the days and weeks and months to come? I hope there are lots of joys and adventures and love on those pages, and very few regrets. Happy New Year.

These are the voyages of Elvira and her two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.
See you on down the road!
Wishing you many joys, lots of adventures, and much love in 2021! Happy New Year!
