Temperature 71 Degrees
Naughty Has Moved Again
All Jammed Up
Not much shaking today. The temperature was reasonable and the sky was clear. Just another great day in Paradise.
I went out bike riding and guess who I found again?
They say her name is Naughty, don’t ask me why. She is a member of The Hood which is part of the J sites where everyone knows everyone else. It is also known as the party secton of the park and is not where you want to be if you want to get a good night’s sleep.
She has definitely had a few different outfits on.
Back in Horse Shoe Pavillion I found
a jam session in progress. I stayed for a bit but also kept my distance since
no one in the crowd had a mask on. I sometimes wonder what people like this are thinking. We’ve had a few people in the park come down with COVID so it’s been here. I’ll keep my distance thank you very much.
When you can’t decide what to have for your mid day meal.
During the day Ms Barbara had cooked up a big pot of Split Pea Soup. We had it later on in the evening and it was oh so delicious. I absolutely love when she makes a big pot of home made soup. They’ve all been so, so good.
That was our day on The Road of Retirement. We’re liking it here but we’re also ready to get back on the road. We’re looking forward, hopefully, to a full year of new places and new discoveries. Until then we’ll continue to make the most of each day that God gives us to live wherever that might be. We hope you’re able to do the same.
Thanks for taking the time to read our blog. We always appreciate your company, your comments, and your suggestions. Keep safe, keep healthy, live to the fullest the days that God gives you.
These are the voyages of Elvira and her two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.
See you on down the road!
Any day with homemade soup is a good day. I love soup, but I’ve never made it. Someday, I will have to try making it myself rather than just opening a can or a frozen stump. The concert looks nice, but I just don’t get why people won’t wear masks or how masks got politicized. Hopefully though, that’ll all be in the rear view mirror before too long. I have heard that Retirement RV parks can be “cliquey.” If so, that would not be for us. We wouldn’t be in the party section of the park either. I guess we make our own fun. I know you do, too! Stay strong and safe; those wheels will be rolling soon. Enjoy your Sunday!

You are so right. This is a funny park. People usually keep to their own groups, we haven’t been invited in yet. But, everyone is polite and friendly, they’ll wave, sometimes stop and talk, or you can stop and talk to them. OK by us since we probably will not be back here next year. Enjoy the week ahead.

Well, it is their loss! It is nice that everyone is polite and friendly though. Do you read the blogger “Glamping in my RV”? They just posted about a new park called “Oak Valley RV Resort” in Webster, Florida. When I read the post, I thought of you. I couldn’t remember if you had a place picked out for next winter. It sounded kind of nice. In any case, have a great week ahead.

Thanks for the tip on the RV Resort. I checked it out but it is way out of our price range for a four month stay. It is the same reason we are not coming back here. Next year we’ll be at the Escapees park here in Bushnell.

Sure. I didn’t look at the prices. Sounds like you have a good plan.

Sounds like “Naughty” may have quite a reputation. Hoag always enjoyed those Jammin sessions but yes I don’t know why people aren’t taking this virus serious. We wear our masks when we are out. We have our 1st Covud shots scheduled also. Continue to take care.
