Places We Have Called Home iN 2020/2021
57 – thinking positive
February 2, 2021
Temperature Bushnell, Florida 54 Degrees – Billings, Montana 60 Degrees!
Short and Sweet
I’ll be honest, this not knowing is going to drive me crazy. Are we going to be able to leave on time? Or will I have to start cancelling reservations and changing things all around. It is eating me up. I’ve sat here long enough, too long as far as I’m concerned. I want, no make that need, to be back on the road. I didn’t buy a home with wheels on its bottom just to let it sit in one spot for months on end. Next winter, four months maximum and no more. Get me out of here!
As you can see above we’re finally back to two working windshield wipers. What a journey it has been. Who would have ever thought wanting to fix the windshield washer on both sides would have ever turned into such a big production. I’ll think twice if in the future I say something again like I can fix that, I mean how hard can it be.
Still trying to get my first vaccine. The one facility that was making appointments has stopped doing so because it cannot get any new shipments of the vaccine for the next several weeks. Someone has really dropped the ball on this whole roll out.
Talk about the weather being cold and windy, why even Ms. Naughty is nowhere to be found. Come on now, who would want to stand around in this weather in a summer outfit. I’ll keep looking but I’m sure she is not going to be out and about for the next several days.
On a down note, we just received word that the UK form of COVID has now reached our county here in Florida. Time to roll up the welcome mat and hunker inside both because of the weather and the virus.
That was our day on The Road of Retirement. Thanks for letting me vent in the beginning. I know I have nothing to really complain about. I’m just frustrated. And as my DW will tell you I also don’t have a whole lot of patience. Time for me to stop, smell the roses, and count my blessings once again.
Thanks for taking the time to read our blog. We always appreciate your company, your comments, and your suggestions. Keep safe, keep healthy, live to the fullest the days that God gives you.
These are the voyages of Elvira and her two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.
See you on down the road!
Hang in there! Good luck and a prayer for Friday’s doctor appointment. And lastly, lean on your faith. You’ll get there!

Bill take a breath and realize we are all dealing with hiccups in our lives. We are living in a time that we have never experienced. Our lives may not be as WE planned, but GOD has had our lives planned and is there for us always. Be careful and stay safe.
