A Different Kind of Summer Again This Year

CONSULTATION WITH DOCTOR
The second piece of the puzzle has fallen into place.
On Monday when The University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute called to tell me I had been accepted for treatment they stated that within a couple of days I would recieve another call from intake.
True to their word the call came today.
They asked if we could meet with my doctor Dr. Randal Henderson this Friday morning at 9 am. You bet we could! Which means of course yet one more very early morning. We’ll have to leave here no later than 6 am. They informed me that the meeting could take anywhere between 2 to 3 hours. But, by the time we return home we should have a much better idea as to when treatment will start and when we need to move to Jacksonville.
While we’re up there we’re also going to check out two possible homes for the duration of our time there.
The first one will be Pecan Park RV Resort.
The second one is Big Tree RV Park.
Each has their good points and their bad. Each offers their own unique vibe. Each is no more than 20 minutes from the Institue. That last is a big plus, again, inasmuch as each daily treatment can be anywhere from 6 am to 8 pm at night. And treatments are Monday through Friday.
But, before we go to Jacksonville I have yet another test I have to get through tomorrow morning. Yup, another early morning test. Believe me, by Saturday the two of us are just going to veg out and do absolutely nothing.
That is where we are at on The Road of Retirement. At this point in time we’re just taking it one day at a time. Looking any further forward just drives me crazy. So hand in hand we’ll travel along singing our song.

"On The Road of Retirement" 
Sounds like things are coming together for you. Both campgrounds look nice but Big Tree has trees while the other one looks like it would be hot once the weather changes. Hoag got his first Covid shot today and I’m scheduled for tomorrow. Hoping we can make it but the prediction is for snow starting tonight and through tomorrow. Come what may.

Your doctor looks like a very kind person. I think you can tell a lot about a person from a picture. Good luck with the appointment and with checking out the 2 RV parks. Dan would love the first one with all the pull throughs. I prefer the sites that are waterfront. Somehow we work it out. You are moving forward! Enjoy your day!
