More Family Time

We had a wonderful time this past weekend with our daughter, Amanda. But the good times were not over yet.

Soon after she left Sunday afternoon our son Adam invited us over to his apartment for Sunday night supper. He informed us he was making tacos which neither of us could resist. Oh my, were they ever good.

But it gets better. Come Monday and he invited us back again. This time he informed us that he was making spaghetti and meatballs. I mean that is one of my all time favorites so I was not about to say no.

To his apartment we went again.

Barbara and I spent the afternoon playing Mexican Train with our grandson, Jarrett. We absolutely enjoyed our time with him. He has really grown up.

Our chef hard at work preparing our meal. It’s really something how the times have changed. Not too long ago his mom was constantly cooking for him. Now, he is cooking for us. And doing a really great job I might add.

He also had a surprise in store for us. He had invited the rest of the family over to join us for supper.

In the very front on the couch, our granddaughter Tori and her husband Ryder. Behind them in the black tee shirt, again, is our grandson Jarrett. Then at the supper table we have in the gray T shirt Mikey, and in the yellow his girl friend, Brie.

Jarrett, Mikey and Brie. In the background, Ms Barbara and our son, Adam.

Tori and that beautiful smile of hers.

Supper time! What a meal Adam made for everyone. You better believe I was once again a member of the clean plate club!

That was our day on The Road of Retirement. Forget the crummy, rainy weather. Forget the storms that caused havoc all around us. The day, for us, was a real winner. This is why we are here, to spend as much time as possible with family and friends. Today, was just the beginning. We are so grateful for this time together.

Thanks for taking the time to read our blog.  We always appreciate your company, your comments, and your suggestions. Keep safe, keep healthy, live to the fullest the days that God gives you.

These are the voyages of  Elvira and her two intrepid travelers.  Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.

See you on down the road!
