Memories
Now this is my kind of weather. Nights are in the 60’s and days are in the low 80’s. Skies have been clear, maybe a brief afternoon shower, but just absolutely delightful days. It’s going to be interesting to see what we’re headed into.
Yesterday we did something we haven’t done in years. We went to the movies in Wellsboro.
Inside it is obvious that it has been around for a few years, but it is clean, the seats are comfortable and the popcorn was delicious
What did we see? We went to see
It is a delightful story of betrayal, tragedy and drama, and finding and claiming one’s true destiny. We absolutely enjoyed the movie and are so glad at the last minute we decided to see it.
Our two weeks in PA is fast coming to a close and what a fantastic two weeks it has been. Having your house on wheels allows one to just about go wherever they want whenever they want. We are thrilled we let our wheels take us here to Ives Run and to day after day spent with my mom. We will leave here with so many wonderful memories of our time spent with her. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so here are some of our favorite times together.
Time out for Chinese
When she came for supper at our rig. The ham casserole was the best. She sure can cook.
Looking good at 93!
Just relaxing outside during a picture perfect day.
Birthday cake together at her apartment. Oh yes, she can still cook and bake.
Mexican Train. We played our last game together today. I must admit, it almost brought tears to my eyes not knowing when we would ever get to do it again. Once we leave here we will not be back east again for almost two years.
Thank you Lord for these past two weeks. Each day was so precious and will be treasured for a lifetime.
That was our day on The Road of Retirement. With two days to go I’m working on a few last projects and I’m beginning to get things ready for us to hit the road. It’s amazing when you sit still for two weeks just how much stuff you drag out and have to put away eventually. We’ll get there.
Thanks for checking in with us, we always enjoy your company. Hopefully, there will be a blog tomorrow but we’re going to be out late so I’m not sure.
These are the voyages of Graybeard and it’s two human soul mates. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have not been before
See you on down the road!
Your mother looks like a sweetie. Wish we could have met her. Your time with her is special to you, but I’m sure she’ll carry those memories with her also. Enjoy her and show her your love. God bless you all.
