The Devil Is In The Details
Ah, a good’s night sleep and a wonderful breakfast. Scrambled egg and cheese on a roll, steak on the side, a glass of juice and a cup of coffee got the day off to a great start.
Time is winding down and so it’s time to get things in order. With that in mind I went to work today.
I started by checking and adjusting air pressure in all of our tires. Just before we leave I’ll check them one more time.
Then I decided to polish the wheels, front and back.
Next on the list was cleaning all the windows, passenger and driver’s side.
I followed up by polishing anything shiny, in essence the few pieces of chrome that are on Graybeard.
Next, both mirror heads once again needed to be tightened. For whatever reason they always seem to come loose about every few months. This time I backed the set screws out completely and then gave them a shot of Blue Locktight.
Finally, I went under the hood. Engine Oil, transmission, coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid all levels were spot on.
Tomorrow we’ll be out and about so I don’t know how much more I’ll get done. I need to get the inside packed up and I’ll get it done. I also need to get a few more things done on the outside. All in good time. Come Friday morning we’ll be ready to go. Count on it.
Day by day we continue on down The Road of Retirement. We’ve enjoying each and every moment of every new day that the good Lord gives us. Well, I just saw the weather report. We’ll be OK but some of those about an hour north of us will be in the 30’s tomorrow morning. Wow!
Thanks again for checking in. We always appreciate your company and comments. Catch you tomorrow.
These are the voyages of Graybeard and it’s two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before
See you on down the road!
Don’t look directly into those wheels unless wearing sunglasses. Sounds like you’re ready to roll.
