Packing Up
Good Morning World! When that sun comes streaming through the back living room window it just reminds you of how beautiful a world God has created. I’m going to miss it the next couple of weeks.
Some more pictures to share with you from around our community.
I really don’t believe I’d want to be greeted by the real live version of this.
I believe someone is trying to keep alive their nautical roots.
Ah, I remember what these are. They are, now don’t tell me, I’ll get it. This is a Javelin! The real deal are common in much of central and southern Arizona, including the outskirts of the Phoenix area, most of Tucson, and occasionally as far north as Flagstaff. They originated in South America, migrated up through Mexico to Arizona.
Hey there Mr. Armadillo!
My kind of ride.
King for a Day.
Time now to continue packing up. We need to leave early tomorrow morning, a lot earlier than we normally do. That means we need to do as much packing up as we can tonight. I adjusted tire pressure. Checked under the hood. Awnings are in. Tanks are dumped and the slinky is put away. Tonight the main slide will come in. Barbara did our laundry. Tomorrow I’ll be up at the crack of dawn to dismantle Gertrude. I’ll disconnect the water. Then we’ll break away from the mother ship with the disconnection of our electrical umbilical cord. Then it will be jacks up and we’ll be on the road.
That was our completely normal nothing exciting laid back everything simple day on The Road of Retirement. Don’t know if there will be a blog tomorrow inasmuch as we have a lot crammed into the day. We have a four hour drive. Set up. Then another hour drive to check out another replacement for Graybeard. I’m tired just thinking about it. It will, however, be all worth it in the end.
Glad you were with us today. We always enjoy having you along and hearing from you. Catch you tomorrow or maybe the next day. Be well.
These are the voyages of Graybeard and it’s two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before
See you on down the road!
How can we be so busy when at the end of the day we say we had a normal nothing day. Oh, maybe not exciting but a good day anyway. Have a safe trip wherever you guys are headed.
