The Transformation Continues
Just another day in paradise. Sometimes we both wonder how or what we did to deserve this wonderful life we live. Whatever, we’ll accept each day with hearts full of gratitude for every precious minute we are given to live.
The transformation continues.
Since we arrived here our DISH service has been hit and miss. More miss really with a lot of shows no longer in HD, the guide refuses to download, and we can no longer get all three Western arc satellites. We found out today that our roof top antenna is the reason. It is not toggling between satellites and is not swinging through a full arc. One more item to replace.
On a more illuminating subject.
Today was the day to upgrade our ceiling lights to LED. It’s really easy, I mean really easy if I can do it without an issue. What a difference it makes in the amount and quality of light in all areas.
All went well until I came to the bedroom light. My oh my someone had attempted to upgrade this light with some weird hodge-podge light that was a mess. I’ll replace this one and then upgrade it with LED.
I also took the screens down for the ceiling fans and cleaned them today. They were a wee bit dirty to say the least.
Some have asked Aren’t you a bit discouraged by all that has to be fixed or upgraded? Not at all, it’s no different than what I went through with Graybeard. For the first year I was almost always replacing something, upgrading something, or fixing something. It’s just part of the process. We’ll get there and when we do it will be worth all the effort.
Mid-afternoon a storm swept through to the north of us. We didn’t get the rain or hail that others did but wow did the temperature drop. Within thirty minutes we went from 74 degrees to 59 degrees. It later rebounded a bit to 65 degrees but it didn’t go higher than that.
That was our day on The Road of Retirement. Another day full of a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Time now to go find some warm PJ’s since the temperature is again dropping. We’re down to 50 degrees right now which when you are used to 80 degrees plus feels downright cold.
Thanks for checking in with us again. We always enjoy your company and your comments. Catch you tomorrow.
