The Transformation Continues – The Little Things
Oh my I just didn’t want to get out from under the covers this morning. It was a rather chilly 45 degrees outside and 59 degrees inside. Add to that I have a cold again and I wasn’t eager to move any time soon. Once up I cranked up the heat pump and soon Elvira was all nice and warm inside.
I really didn’t have much energy or oomph to do anything today. Yet, there were a few small items that needed attention.
For instance what do you do
when you have a towel ring or
TP Holder that you can’t get to stay up. Regular screws don’t work. Even with wall anchors it is impossible to get them to stay put.
Drum roll please. The answer is?
Pop rivet them in place. Works like a charm every time. Just make sure you know where you want them because getting them back down can be a real pain. I learned this trick working on Graybeard. I put a lot of odds and ends up this way and nothing, but nothing ever came down again!
That was about it for the day. Other than dumping the tanks. I also started working on a solution to the screen that is coming off by our front door. I thought the solution would be a bit of super glue but that really didn’t work. I believe I’ll have to take the existing Velcro down and replace it with new. No big deal.
That was our day on The Road of Retirement. I spent most of the day in my recliner with my head back and my eyes closed. A few more days and I should be able to shake this nasty cold. I’ll let you know.
Thanks again for checking in with us. We always appreciate your company and your comments. Catch you tomorrow.
These are the voyages of Elvira and it’s two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before
See you on down the road!
Another problem solved. Take care of that cold. Shut down for a couple days, soak in some Vitamin C under the sun. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
