Packing Up and Leaving Early

Cedar Cove TV Series — Debbie Macomber

Oh what has happened to me.  I’m absolutely hooked on this series.  So much so that we sat up until 1 am in the morning watching one episode after another.  I finally threw in the towel early am and went and got some sleep.

Cave Without a Name - Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™: Guadalupe River

Cruising around the internet last night I discovered a fascinating attraction just west of San Atonio called Cave Without A Name.  We talked about it and decided let’s go see it. Moreover, they have a basic electric/water campground associated with it for a nominal charge per night.   Therefore, we’re leaving tomorrow to go do some sightseeing.

Welcome to Texas 281 RV Park | San Antonio, Texas

Then we’ll move from there to Texas 281 RV Park where we have a pull-thru site waiting for us.

Barbara went shopping yesterday so our freezer is full as well as our refrigerator.  Our outside pantry is also well stocked.

Tire covers are off and tire pressure checked.

The air filter has been changed.  It has been on there since 2015 and once off I found it was partially clogged in the lower right corner.

The tanks will be dumped in about another 30 minutes and rinsed out.  The reflectix will come off of the front windshield and the privacy screen will be taken off.

I’ll also disconnect Wesley and Fredia along with the other water hoses and pack them away.

Tomorrow we’ll just have to disconnect the electric,  pull in the slides, store the jacks and bring Elvira back up to ride height and away we will go.

So now we’re up-to-date on what we’ve been doing on The Road of Retirement.  It really is such fun to have wheels underneath your home.  You have the freedom to move when you want and go where you want to go.  Tis a wonderful life.

Thanks for stopping by.  We always appreciate your company and your comments.  Stay safe, wash your hands and wear your mask.  Till tomorrow.

These are the voyages of  Elvira and her two intrepid travelers.  Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.

See you on down the road!

  1. What channel / streaming service do you use to watch Cedar Cove? I love Debbie Macomber and would love to watch this but haven’t seen it as I generally just watch netflix.
