Back Home Again

Gooooooooooood Morning World!

They said they would be at the rig at 7:30 am.  Nope.  They were there at 7:15 am.  Imagine that.

Once they were here we left for doctor appointments and they left with the rig.  We needed to be in Tampa by 9 am.  I had two appointments today.  In the morning was an MRI and in the afternoon I had an audiology appointment.

We finished by 2:00 pm and were headed back to the rig.  Once we arrived we found Elvira back in our site in the campground.

Here is the long and short of it.  Our new OTA is on and working.  The washer/dryer has been repaired and the drain pan installed.  They have a set up in the shop where they hook the units up and test them.  What they found was that the hot and cold water lines had come loose where they entered the machine.  So it is fixed.  I was going to try to do some water proofing of the side walls of the closet but I was not allowed in the shop due to COVID-19.  Perhpas in the days ahead I’ll try and accomplish that.

As for the the slide rollers, they are on order and when they arrive, well, eventually they will be installed.  Before we leave here for sure.  The one is definitely completely gone.  The other three appear to be in good shape.

Of course my wallet is now a lot lighter.  Lazydays does great work.  They are super in terms of customer service.  However, they are the most expensive game in town.  I would go back, but only if I had no other option as was the case with the washer/dryer.  Ah well, it’s only money.

So, work done and the bill paid we headed back to our winter home.  It sure feels good to be back on site and settled in.

That was our day on The Road of Retirment.  It has been a long day and we’re ready to turn in for the evening.  So, if you’ll excuse me I’m calling it a night.

Appreciate your checking in with us today.  We always appreciate your company, your comments, and your suggestions. Keep safe, keep healthy, live to the fullest the days that God gives you.

These are the voyages of  Elvira and her two intrepid travelers.  Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.

See you on down the road!

  1. Glad to hear the washer and dryer are fixed. So, sorry, I just have to say it. The problem wasn’t caused by Miss Barbara using the wrong softener, correct? Seems like someone needs to be extra nice to her! You know, us women have to stick together. 🙂 In any case, I’m glad you’re back to the your winter home, and while you’re wallet is much lighter, you’re blessed beyond measure in so many ways. Stay safe, and enjoy your day!

    1. Right you are nothing Barbara did. I really didn’t think it was what she had done. It was just a coincident. Like replacing the batteries and the slide not working. Totally unrelated just happened at the same time. What I would call a real curve ball. Have a great week.

  2. I’m sure Barbara is glad the washer/dryer is fixed. I know how I missed ours when ours died. Why are you waterproofing the inside if the closet wall? These units have a way of lightening our wallets. We just removed the border print and wallpapered the bedroom and bathroom because we wanted to modernize it. Hoag did a super job. We changed the wall sconces with new shades and changed the fabric on the stationary valances. Looks nice. Enjoy your week.

    1. I can’t wait to see some pictures of the updates. Waterproofing, on second thought I realized there was no need for that so I abandoned that project. Enjoy the rest of your week. With snow on the way I’m sure you will.
