Goooooooooood Morning World!
We awoke to a cool, gray, gloomy morning. Not a hint of the sun could be found. A hot cup of coffee was a most welcome start to the day. Come what may we were going to make it a great day.
Our Sunday began the way we like to start it, by joining in worship with our home congregation in Colts Neck, NJ.
Scott opened the service with our Call to Worship.
A family from the congregation participated in the lighting of the Advent Candle.
We lit the candles in our own Advent wreath.
We had special music by one of our Bell Choirs.
Scott’s message was from the Gospel of Matthew. He focused on the word Emmanuel which means God with us. He went on to state that as we face the prospect of a new year with so manny unknowns, this we know for certain – that God will be with us through it all. He ended by stating that though what’s ahead may not be easy we’ll be alright if we just remember to focus not on what is around us but to look up and focus on the God of our faith.
Worship over we had a few things to take care of around our home.
We brought our outside storage boxes in so that we could reorganize them and take a detailed inventory of each.
We also emptied the top and bottom of our freezer inorder to clean and make a detailed inventory of it.
We replaced our original runner with this new rug. We like it because it adds a bit of color to our living room.
Let’s jump back to yesterday for just a moment. What do you do at Christmas time when almost everyone in the park has a golf cart?
You organize a parade of Christmas decorated golf carts.
With Santa Claus leading the way in a red fire engine.
Away they went to make the rounds of the various sections of the park.
But the day wasn’t over yet.
That evening on the park outdoor jumbo screen we were treated to a Christmas Concert by the Tans-Siberian Orchestra. The concet lasted over an hour and it was a fantastic way to end the day.
We’re now up-to-date on The Road of Retirement. Weather wise the day is ending in the same way that it started, that is overcast and damp. But even as we thought, it was a great day for the two of us. Ms. Barbara ended the day by making a special treat, funnel cakes for the two of us. Yummy.
Thanks for joining us today. We always appreciate your company, your comments, and your suggestions. Keep safe, keep healthy, live to the fullest the days that God gives you.
These are the voyages of Elvira and her two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.
See you on down the road!
What a fabulous day! Start with an uplifting message, add in a new snazzy rug, watch a great parade, listen to energetic music and enjoy a funnel cake!! Hope tomorrow is not too much of a letdown for ya. Just kidding! Enjoy the coming Christmas week!

Sounds like a busy, but nice day. Love the rug, it does look very nice. Santa’s parade looked like a lot of people got involved. Nice.
