Around The Park
I finally did it. I’ve talked about it for days, weeks really. But today was the day. No more excuses. I got back on my bike and went riding. Why hadn’t I ridden in so long? No, I hadn’t fallen in the past. I was just lazy. That ended today. And boy oh boy did it feel great. Now I need to keep it up.
No more flamingos being moved around. Now we have this lovely lady who is apt to show up almost anywhere in the park. Not only do they move her aroound the park they also dress her in a different outfit each time they move her. It’s going to be fun finding where they move her to.
Did this ever bring back pleasant memories. I had a Goldwing of the same color. It wasn’t triked and it finally got too much for me to handle. My knees gave out and I could no longer count on holding it up when stopped. Oh, but the miles of smiles that it gave me over the many years I owned it.
To me it is sort of funny what turns up in the premium and most expensive sites. This is only twelve feet long and the kitchen is in the back. The whole back of the trailer opens up to reveal it. Um, I wonder who gets the privilege of cooking breakfast on a thirty degree morning? The though of having to put a parka on just to make a pot of coffee doesn’t appeal to me.
For pet lovers everywhere.
A really nice 1962 Corvette brought down in a trailer from Maine. The gentleman who owns it stated his health doesn’t allow him to take out too often. I was going to volunteer to take it for a spin but I didn’t believe he wouled bite. I mean I would let him ride shotgun!
Two windshield wipers and two windshield washers make up the setup on our rig. Well, the fittings for the windshield washers broke off so I decided to fix them. I mean, how hard could that be? It’s only two bolts and a simple plate to change. Or so I though. Well, one will never be able to say that Newmar engineers had any brains when they designed systems for their rigs. To fix the windshield washers requries that one take the whole windshield wiper assembley – both sides – completely off. Forget it. I’m now designing my own windshield washer system. I have it just about figured out.
Ms Barbara had one doctor’s appointment today. Then she spent the rest of the day trying to get the results of my prostate biopsy. Good luck. The VA shows no concern for those entrusted to their care. She finally found someone willing to email the results to her. Well, reading it I don’t know whether to panic or just shrug my shoulders and go about life as usual. The next step is finding a doctor to read it and tell me what’s what. That means going outside the VA because waiting for them to call, well, I could be gone and buried by the time a doctor will call. Trust me, I’m speaking from experience. I mean it took them over three months just to read an Xray I had taken once.
That was our day on The Road of Retirement. It was another beautiful day in Paradise. We’re just taking the days as they come and enjoying them to the max. We’ve hit a few small bumps in the road but nothing to get worked up about. What will be, will be. We know that God has a perfect plan for our lives and we’ll just let it unfold in His good time.
Thanks for stopping by today. We always appreciate your company, your comments, and your suggestions. Keep safe, keep healthy, live to the fullest the days that God gives you.
These are the voyages of Elvira and her two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.
See you on down the road!
I enjoy seeing your pictures from around your RV park. It does look like a fun place to stay! Maybe the people with the small camper like the simplicity and not having to worry about repairing windshield wipers. 😉 Good luck with your windshield wipers design and getting your medical results interpreted. Enjoy your day today!

Looks like a beautiful day for a ride. Love her outfit. 😁 I’ve heard those words before, “how hard can it be”. Good luck.
