We Have Our Train – And So Much More
Sunday Worship
Team Lunch
Pulling It All Together
We heard it this morning strong and clear, the train whistle.
Ah, so nice to know we are home. I believe in over 75% of the places we stayed last year there was the sound of train, some very faint and others like they were coming through the campground.
But wait, we have so much more. We also have the sound of commercial planes since the
Tucson airport is just a hop, skip and a jump away. Wait, there is more. Since the Air Force has a base just around the corner we also have fighter jets zipping over our heads.
Today being Sunday we went as a team to worship at the church we are working at. I had a hard time following the message since it was done both in English and Spanish. The Pastor would do a paragraph in English, then go back and repeat it in Spanish. Somewhere along the way I got a bit lost.
After worship our team decided to go to
for lunch. It was a great meal with new friends.
Later in the evening we gathered together to discuss the projects that the church wants us to accomplish the next three weeks. The list is long and varied. There is something for everyone. Slow and steady and I’m sure we’ll get it done.
The push is now on for us to get everything done that we need to do so we can leave here with our new LV. We have found a safe and secure storage facility where we can leave Graybeard until my son Paul comes to pick him up. Tomorrow we’ll get insurance on our new rig. Then we’ll sign the contract for it and give the seller our deposit. We’ll start the process to obtain the rest of the funds we need. We’ll set a date within the next two weeks for inspection, make final payment, then a walk through with the seller and finally a day and date to pick it up. Our NOMADS team has volunteered to help us walk everything from one rig to the other if we can get it here before our project is over. That would be a big plus.
Our day on The Road of Retirement has come to an end. Excuse me, but I need to get off to bed since starting tomorrow we need to be up and out by 7:30 am. Ouch!
Thanks for checking in with us today. We always appreciate your company and your comments. Catch you tomorrow.
These are the voyages of Graybeard and it’s two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before
See you on down the road!
Sounds like alot of noises in that area, but one of them could be your wakeup call. 😊 Looks like you have everything in order and a great group of friends to help you move from the old to the new. Have a great week. We’re off to volunteer with the fire company pot pie sale for the next 4 days. Yum!!
