Temperature 78 Degrees
When You Get Bored
Go East, You Two, Go East
What an absolutely delightful day. The temperature never, not even once, got above 80 degrees. But the wind, now that was another thing. We were listening to Sirus on Dish and we kept loosing the signal. What? I walked outside and the wind was blowing directly at the receiver and it was rocking back and forth like a rocking horse. Time to bring it down until the wind calmed down. Yes, we were able to get it up in time for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!
This is what you do when you get really bored. You wax your shower. I’m so glad I did because I found a yellow layer of something along the bottom of each wall. However, with a little bit of elbow grease and an hour of my time it’s all gone now and the entire shower sparkles like a diamond ring.
So Barbara said we need to go East. We need to go back to family and friends before we move out to the southwest. Guess where we are going next year? You guessed it. We are going up the eastern seaboard to Pennsylvania and then we’ll head west along the top of the country and then south back home to the southwest for winter. Once there, well, we will probably look for a place to establish as a home base.
What do I think of this plan? I agree we do need to see family and friends. No argument there and I’m anxious to see everyone. I’m not, however, looking forward to the traffic, congestion, terrible roads and rude drivers on the East coast. It is what it is. I’ll just have to suck it up for six months or so.
I’ve already started work on our 2021 travel route so that we have a rough idea of where we will be when. This will allow me to search for respectable places to call home and allow me to make the necessary reservations in plenty of time.
That was the sum total of our day on The Road of Retirement. We have two more major sightseeing trips planned before we leave here. The one will be next Monday, and the second will be on Wednesday. Then we start putting things away in anticipation of getting back on the road shortly after that. Oh, happy, happy, joy, joy!
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could be like our children – color blind.
Thanks for joining us today. We always appreciate your company and your comments. Until tomorrow.
These are the voyages of Elvira and it’s two intrepid travelers. Our continuing mission: to explore as many new states as possible, to seek out new acquaintances and make new friends, to boldly go where we have never been before.
See you on down the road!
Now that sounds like better weather. When we get home from Florida we always remark how nice it is to be away from that traffic, but then we go back into it the next year. Maybe? Our church is opening this morning with precautions. Yay!!! Have a blessed day.
