A Little Bit Of This And That
We had a most unusual morning today. We actually had to get up and out by 8:00 am.
Ms. Barbara had to go for lab work prior to a doctor’s appointment next week. Surprise of surprise, she was in and out within 15 minutes. That’s a record for a Quest facility. Since she had to fast before the blood work it was time now to go get some breakfast.
Ms. Barbara discovered this restaurant only 5 minutes away with a four star rating. Time to try it out.
Coffee was fresh and just the right temperature. Ah, the morning wake me up!
The food was delicious. I’ve been wanting a Western Omelet for the longest time and this one did not disappoint. My other half had eggs and pancakes and she also said everything was delicious. This will be one of those places we will definitely go back to again.
After breakfast we stopped at Home Depot because I needed a new cordless drill. This is where I scored the deal of the day. They had forgotten to take the sale price sticker off of this item so I was able to get a $70 discount on it. I’ll take it.
Back home we discovered it was time for the annual flea market in the development. The neighborhood was humming for several hours and then just like that everyone was gone. It’s amazing some of the stuff people put out. I was tempted on occasion but didn’t give in.
So that is where we are at on The Road of Retirement. Life is good. We’re enjoying our days here and getting to know even more of our neighbors. Yup, we’re in the right place at the right time in our lives.

Breakfast out is one of my most favorite things to do! And second would be going to a flea market. Did you even at least look? Did Barb? Was that A-liner for sale? Sounds like the perfect day to me!

Yup, the A-liner is for sale. Brand new, used once, have to sell due to medical issues. It was a great day all the way around. Have a great weekend.
