A Valentine’s Turtle – For Me!

Breakfast finished out I went out to attend to a few odds and ends. I was gone, oh, about 30 minutes I guess.

When I came back in, there sitting in my chair waiting for me was my very own Valentine’s Turtle! I was thrilled. It is totally awesome and I absolutely adore it. My sweetheart got me my perfect Valentine’s gift and I love her for it.

In other news around the homestead . . .

The shutters are finished and back up. Ask me and I believe they really look great. I’m going to go one step further and eventually paint the first slat in each awning the same sage green. I believe that will tie everything together.

I have one other painting project I need to attend to. I need to finish painting the window sills in the front bedroom. I wanted to wait until after they installed the new windows. Since that is now done it is time for me to finish painting what I started earlier.

What will I get into next? No telling. But I believe it is time to start focusing on getting Elvira cleaned up and packed. Our April departure will be here before you know it.

That’s it for now on The Road of Retirement. Today, overall, was an easy day. Which is to say it was my kind of day. As for the temperature, suffice to say it is not destined to stay this cool. The word on the street is we’ll be back in the 80’s by Wednesday.
